Opened in February 2022, Chimney Cottage is set in the heart of Hepworth, a village that features in the Domesday book of 1086. The cottage offers the ideal luxury dog friendly accommodation for those seeking to explore the truly breath-taking landscapes of the Holme Valley, or the delights of the Peak District.
Less than two miles away lies the pretty market town of Holmfirth, most commonly known for the TV series, The Last of the Summer Wine. It has all your local amenities including independent shops, takeaways, bars and restaurants. It also has its very own live music venue, the Picturedrome.

We are dog friendly
As owners of two dachshunds, we know how important it is to find dog friendly holiday accommodation that still provides a luxury feel and is done to a high standard. Chimney Cottage has been designed with your pets in mind. There is an enclosed area at the front of the property, and we also provide food bowls and poo bags. And not forgetting a few dog biscuits too. Up to two dogs can stay at no additional cost.

The Butchers Arms is a traditional village pub and within a few hundred yards of Chimney Cottage. With its’ stone floors and an open fire, the Butchers Arms is a great place for walkers and dog owners who enjoy the picturesque scenery of the Holme Valley. As well as great hospitality, they serve amazing food and in 2023 were recognised as one of the UK’s Top 50 Gastro Pubs by Estrella Damm.
